Mark Bennett, BSc (Hons), mBANT, CNHC

Functional Medicine Practitioner · Nutritional Scientist

Mark leads the nutritional and clinical science underpinning the Wilding Tribe methodology. He runs a UK-based clinical practice working with approximately 1,500 clients across a wide range of complex and chronic health presentations — metabolic dysfunction, gut disorders, autoimmune conditions, hormonal imbalance, chronic fatigue, and inflammatory disease.

Mark trained as a Functional Medicine Practitioner, achieving a First Class Honours BSc in Nutritional Therapy from Middlesex University. He is a qualified Nutrigenetic Counsellor and a Certified Gluten-Free Practitioner, trained under Dr Tom O'Bryan.

In addition to private clinical practice, Mark serves as a medical supporter to Yes to Life, the UK's leading integrative cancer care charity, contributing nutritional and lifestyle support within a multidisciplinary framework.

The Functional Systems Model

Mark's work is grounded in a functional, systems-based understanding of human biology. Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, the approach recognises the body as composed of highly interconnected physiological systems that must work in harmony to support health.

01

Digestion & Assimilation

Gut integrity, nutrient absorption, microbiome and digestive function.

02

Detoxification & Elimination

Hepatic clearance, lymphatic drainage, environmental load reduction.

03

Cellular Communication

Hormonal signalling, nervous system regulation, biochemical messengers.

04

Defence, Repair & Immunity

Immune regulation, inflammation control, tissue repair pathways.

05

Energy & Metabolic Function

Mitochondrial respiration, ATP production, metabolic efficiency.

06

Structural Integrity & Transport

Musculoskeletal foundation, cardiovascular flow, structural resilience.

The Science

A pro-metabolic approach

Nutrient-dense, pro-metabolic foods

Energy, structure and function are inseparable at every level of biology. When cellular energy production declines, cellular structure adapts. Structural change alters function — and sustained dysfunction ultimately manifests as disease.

The pro-metabolic approach centres on supporting efficient mitochondrial respiration across all ~36 trillion cells. Mitochondria generate the ATP required for repair, immune regulation, hormonal balance, detoxification, cognition and tissue maintenance.

Restoring mitochondrial efficiency through nutrient density, metabolic substrate optimisation, gut integrity, micronutrient sufficiency and stress regulation re-establishes cellular resilience — the foundation of long-term metabolic health and functional longevity.

Methodology

Evidence-led, systems-based health

Advanced functional diagnostics

Wilding Tribe's methodology applies targeted, individualised nutritional and lifestyle interventions grounded in clinical science and functional medicine practice. The approach integrates:

  • Consultation and functional assessment
  • Phlebotomy and biomarker analysis
  • Diagnostics, nutrigenetics, and biochemical diversity assessment
  • Bespoke nutrition and lifestyle programmes
  • Evidence-based, complementary food interventions

This clinically proven framework has been refined over more than a decade in practice, and is now translated into scalable digital programmes designed to address the root causes of modern chronic disease.

A Collaboration Shaped by Real Recovery

"Fee and Mark now translate over a decade of shared clinical experience into Wilding Tribe and the Wild Clinic — combining evidence-led functional medicine with accessible, scalable education designed to address modern chronic disease at its roots."

FAQ

Common questions

Wild Clinic sessions are suited to anyone navigating complex or unresolved health concerns — metabolic, autoimmune, hormonal, gut, inflammatory or fatigue-related — who wants a root-cause, systems-based clinical review rather than symptom management. Sessions complement, rather than replace, your medical care.
Each Wild Clinic consultation is approximately 60–90 minutes, with time at the end for questions and next-step planning.
After booking and payment you'll receive a confirmation email with a private video link and an intake form. Click the link at your scheduled time — no software installation required.
Diagnostic and functional lab testing (Cyrex, Functional DX, Regenerous, AONM and others) is recommended when clinically appropriate. Test fees are charged separately by the laboratory and are not included in the consultation fee.
Mark sends you a written consultation summary and personalised nutrition, supplement and lifestyle protocol within a few working days, summarising your case review, agreed objectives and recommended next steps.
No. The Wild Clinic is designed to complement medical pathways, not replace them. Mark works within a multidisciplinary framework and recommends continued collaboration with your GP, consultant or specialist care team.
